At Into Loving Homes, we recognise the urgent need for many of our animals to find loving homes very quickly. Currently, we’re achieving an average adoption time of seven days, saving countless lives along the way (7 adoptions this past week). However, we know we must do better, if we are to help save more lives.

Many of our animals come from difficult situations where their owners can no longer provide for them, often due to death, illness, relocation, or financial struggles. For these animals, time is often crucial; without swift action, they risk ending up in overcrowded shelters or being euthanised. The statistics are heart breaking: animals in shelters regularly wait 2 weeks before being listed for adoption, with an average stay of 77 days. Tragically, many never make it out alive.

To combat this issue at Into Loving Homes we streamline our onboarding and adoption processes like no other, also our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure there is no wait time for veterinary assessments or for evaluating potential adopters. We focus only on what is essential for safe, well-matched adoptions—eliminating unnecessary steps, such as taking healthy animals into shelters. In fact, we can facilitate adoption listings and adoptions within hours. An example is a lovely border collie cross named Bowie, who needed an adopter the same day! We completed all steps—vet check, rehoming form, ad campaign, and adopter screenings, right through to adoption and handover—without setbacks. 10 year old Bowie now has a fantastic family on a riverfront property with a great yard, and we still receive photo updates years later.

We employ targeted paid advertising to connect with individuals who fit the profiles we seek, reaching compassionate people in local communities. While these ads can be costly—ranging from $50 to $1,000 per cat or dog, depending on factors such as breed, behaviour, size, age, and location—they are essential for matching animals with the right homes. Without these paid ad campaigns, animals ads sit online doing nothing (most commonly for months or years). The more homes an animal can fit into, the lower the campaign cost. Conversely, the fewer homes an animal can suit (e.g., if the home can’t have children or other pets), the more it costs.

Our mission is for every animal to have a permanent, well-suited, and loving home. Together, we can make that happen for every healthy, adoptable animal, but we need your help.
