Passion, resilience, and dedication are at the heart of Into Loving Homes, founded by Donna Wild to bring hope to animals in need. In this interview, Donna shares her journey, insights, and commitment to the mission of home-to-home adoptions.

Q: Donna, what inspired you to create Into Loving Homes?

Donna: “It’s been my lifelong passion to help animals. Seeing how traditional shelters can add stress for animals and their families, I wanted to create a safer, more compassionate way to rehome them—directly from one home to another. This approach reduces trauma, overcrowding, and gives animals a much smoother transition.”

Q: How does your mission impact your day-to-day life?

Donna: “Running a charity is like owning a dog; you’d never let it starve. You put everything into it, and when it needs something, I do everything I can to make it work—even if it means sweat and tears. The responsibility is immense, but it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Q: Can you share some of the rewarding moments of your journey?

Donna: “Every adoption is special, but seeing long-wait animals finally find their match is beyond fulfilling. We had one adopted today, Sebastian a beautiful cat in Sydney who’s owner passed away. He waited 42 days for a loving home and now he has one. There’s so much joy in watching an animal settle into their new life, and knowing we helped make that happen is a privilege.”

Q: What’s the biggest challenge, and what keeps you motivated?

Donna: “It’s a challenge to keep everything running smoothly—our average adoption takes about seven days, though some take weeks or even months. But seeing animals thrive, along with the incredible support from our community, keeps me going. This work isn’t easy, but it’s worth every bit of effort.”

Q: Finally, what does the future hold for Into Loving Homes?

Donna: “Our goal is to grow our services, reaching even more animals and families across Australia. With community support, we can continue our mission and help every animal find the loving home they deserve.”
