Ami, a 20-year-old Welsh pony had been “put out to pasture” which in Australia is an expression meaning “left alone to die”, an all too common practice in Australia.

Left for 3 years, her teeth had rotted, she lost a lot of weight, and was malnourished. After having her transported to safety, some teeth removed, her feet cared for, and her nutrition back on track, she was ready to be adopted into her permanent, new, loving home.

Today, Ami lives with two other companion horses and enjoys two nourishing feeds daily, lots of human companionship, and round-the-clock enjoyment of life. She is happy and healthy, with many good years ahead of her.
