When we rehome animals, we take the time to understand their individual needs, preferences, and behavioural traits. Collaborating closely with breeders, we ensure a smooth transition and suitable placement for these animals. Our thorough systems, including health and temperament evaluation conducted with professionals, guarantee that we match them to loving homes suited to their needs.
Donna, Into Loving Homes founder, has personal experience with the joy of adopting retired breeding animals. Back when we first founded in 2021, Donna had her eyes open for a bonded pair of poodles to adopt and keep together – she hoped for standard poodles but was open to any poodle mix if they seemed the right fit to her lifestyle. A breeder reached out for us to find a home for a retiring Sheepadoodle. Without even seeing photos, Donna knew this was to be her dog and the adoption was finalised. Two years later, the same breeder had a Standard Poodle whom after two litters was ready to retire and in need of a loving home. This dog happened to be Donna’s dog’s best friend prior to adoption. Donna didn’t hesitate, with adoptions almost two years apart, she now had her bonded pair. Dreams do come true- for our animals and our adopters. Donna has photos of them together from 2+ years ago, sharing couches, enjoying tongue kisses with one another and doing zoomies around the yard. They continue to do this today- not with other dogs, only with each other. Pic attached is Donna’s two dogs, over two years ago before she adopted them.
Through our efforts, we strive to break the cycle of continuous breeding and underground rehoming. This ensures that more animals find better suited homes where they can thrive and be cherished for life.
