Reason for Rehoming: Due to a change in personal circumstances and accommodation, Loki’s current owner can no longer keep him.

Loki has had years of dedicated training and hand-taming and is a wonderfully clever bird. He is clicker trained and knows a long list of tricks, including:  Wave,  Shake hands,  Knuckles,  High five, Turn around, Touch target, Fetch a ring, Stack cups.

He is also recall trained and syringe trained, which is particularly useful if he ever needs supplements or medication.

Loki reliably steps up and goes where he is asked. Continuing his training after rehoming will be important — it gives him mental stimulation and helps him remain confident, settled and connected with his person.

Loki loves to fly, and flight is an important part of his confidence and wellbeing. He therefore needs a home where he has plenty of safe space to fly freely, ideally an aviary environment with other Galahs.

With a consistent bedtime routine and 10–12 hours of sleep, Loki does not scream at night, in the morning or at other times. He understands that lights out and the door closing means quiet time, and he patiently waits until morning.

Loki needs a Galah companion. and can only be rehomed to a home that already has at least one other Galah.  He needs bird companionship and cannot be an only bird.

Healthy: Yes apart from a toe on his left foot where the toenail sits up slightly but does not bother him at all.

Medication: None required

The adoption fee for Loki is $75 and includes his large cage on wheels, food, treats and toys inside cage.
