Although Squeaky adores humans, Squeaky longs for a quiet, pet- and child-free life — the opposite of what she has now. Her dream is to have her own space, a barn or shed with room to roam outside would be perfect, where she can finally enjoy the peace she craves — like she once did as a stray cat, but with all the perks of a loving human to care for her in a safe and permanent home.
“When I rescued Squeaky, she was a colony cat, about a year and a half old. I lived alone and could give her a calm, quiet environment. Now, eight years later, I have three kids, a partner, and another cat, and she is overwhelmed. The noise, people, and other animals stress her out. She overgrooms as a result and seems to want to be outside, but we live on a busy street. She will be happier in a different environment,” shared her current owner.
Squeaky is a sweet and affectionate cat who enjoys attention and cuddles but also values her space. She loves having her face brushed and ears cleaned, and snuggling too. She’s also incredibly vocal, letting you know when she needs something.
Squeaky is gentle and sweet, but hisses at the other cat in her home when he gets too close. She avoids children but has never scratched or swiped at them. She’s even been known to alert her humans to cockroaches and lizards, but prefers to let them be, so she can’t be expected to catch rodents. On the plus side, we expect that she will absolutely leave the wildlife alone. If you can offer Squeaky the quiet, loving home she longs for, she will be forever grateful.
