This evening marks an incredible milestone, the first time since our founding that our animal listing page is empty! Usually an array of varied species, breeds and temperaments: https://intolovinghomes.com.au/adopt/ all have now been matched to loving homes.
We are fully aware that this situation will change soon, and we want it to. We want to be here for animals in need. We are here to prevent them from experiencing shelters, homelessness, death row.
This week, we successfully found homes for 12 animals across four different species (a number consistent with most weeks of recent months), including those with unique needs such as vision impairment and toileting issues, as well as popular purebreds with perfect temperaments to suit any home wanting them. If we have them needing a home, we find them a home.
So you can see that this empty adoption page is not because we lack animals needing adoption, nor because there are fewer animals being listed for adoption, there is not. It is a result of the rapid adoption rates we are achieving across Australia. Many of our animals are listed and adopted within hours, with the longest process this week taking only a few days. Earlier this year, a man who specialises in Facebook ad management for a career reached out to us seeking to rehome his dog, Leo. Despite his expertise in Facebook advertising, he struggled to find a suitable home for Leo this way and had invested significant funds in unsuccessful advertising attempts.
