At Into Loving Homes, we aim to bridge the gap for animals in need of new, loving homes. Witnessing the heartbreak of people unable to keep their pets due to illness, disability, homelessness, financial hardship, and more, and seeing the distress of animals in shelters – isolated, scared, lonely, cold, with their history lost, usual diet gone, familiarity obliterated, and future unknown – I knew there had to be a better way. Our home-to-home adoption service provides a safe, compassionate alternative, ensuring pets go directly from one loving home to another.
Our approach is unique and effective. By collaborating with rescues, shelters, pet stores, vet clinics, and individuals, while utilizing a nationwide network, we’ve helped countless animals find their perfect match. This not only alleviates the burden on shelters but also gives people peace of mind and, most importantly, saves animals’ lives.
Into Loving Homes is more than just an adoption service; it’s a community effort. Our success is driven by the support of dedicated individuals, volunteers, and partners who share our vision of a world where every animal has a loving home. Through education, advocacy, and compassionate action, we strive to make a difference in the lives of both animals and the people whose lives they’ve touched.
This week, we want to share with you the celebration of some of our animals’ Gotcha Day – their one-year adoption anniversary. These milestones are a testament to the loving homes and bright futures we’ve helped create together.
We follow up with all our adopters within the first week post-adoption, then the first month, and again annually to celebrate their Gotcha Days with them. This ongoing connection ensures our animals are thriving and their new families are supported. It also lets us know if, how, and why our adoptions are successful not just in the short term, but for the duration of the animal’s lifetime.
