Over 150 years ago, Caroline Earle White and a group of activists established what is considered the first animal shelter with a mission to provide a safe haven for lost and homeless dogs. While this was a significant milestone, it’s essential to recognize that times have changed, and rehoming animals requires a more modern approach. Home to Home adoption is our chosen method for rehoming animals. It is kinder on animals and more fitting for the rehoming of animals in 2023. This method is also faster, cost-effective for donors, environmentally sustainable, and scalable, allowing us to rehome more animals than ever before.
